Our Story
Spacesuit was formed at the birth of the challenger sport Formula E. We wanted to do imagery differently.
In the past decade, we’ve covered world land speed records, supplied imagery to Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso, hung out with Will Smith and Tom Brady and LeBron James, played football with Didier Drogba, climbed mountains, free dived, flown aerobatics, filmed in fire engines and so much more.
From rallying to rugby, from F1 to football, and from partnerships to press, backed by inhouse production and purpose-built technology, we put humans at the heart of every story.

2014
Mahindra Racing selected Spacesuit to be official team photographers at the first ever Formula E race, in Beijing 2014. Impressed with our style and approach, by the end of season one, 80% of the race teams had retained us, turning us from a one-person start-up into a fledgling creative company with four creatives and three support staff.
2016
We were commissioned to be official photographers when the Venturi VBB3 set a new world land speed record for electric vehicles, at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This was also the year that we launched our own image distribution infrastructure, having reached the limitations of Dropbox and PhotoShelter. Today, this platform hosts our 600,000 images.
2016
Volvo commissioned us for two photoshoots to set a new direction for localised content. We took the new XC90 and V40 on epic roadtrips to Scotland to bring the best of British urban and rural backdrops. Volvo used the images across all UK digital properties, as well as for dealers and on billboards across the country.

2018
In 2018, Sir Lewis Hamilton won the fifth of his seven titles. We photographed several F1 races through the 2018 season, primarily for media commissions. It was an honour that Lewis chose to use our imagery for his social channels at all events we attended.
2019
We were appointed to create all testing, launch and preseason imagery for electric off-road racing series, Extreme E. The project included a studio shoot, off-road tracks in Spain and France, the public launch at Goodwood, and leadership portraits. We also supplied all Extreme E imagery from the first collective preseason test.

2020
Formula E appointed us to provide all premium experience imagery, including guests and VIPs, partner and sponsor activations, conferences and awards dinners. The role sits alongside Getty, which provides track and press imagery. We continue to provide this service in 2025.

2024
We were appointed as founding photographic partner to E1 Series, the start-up sport featuring electric foiling speedboats. Our work covers marketing, press, partnerships and hospitality, as well as all 10 teams and 20 pilots. We also supply our full wraparound image management service for 200+ stakeholders.

2025
Spacesuit was appointed official photographers to the British Rally Championship, the country's premier rallying series. This marked a change in provider for the first time in 20 years. Led by Adam Pigott, we are delivering for BRC press, marketing, teams and drivers briefs, with a principal objective to deliver on quality, energy and excitement.

2025
After years of nurturing emerging talent from under-represented groups, the 2025 Monaco E-Prix marked the first time we commissioned more female creatives than males for a motorsports event. We did this again shortly afterwards at the Jakarta E-Prix. Our F1 preseason testing coverage 2025 was also led by a female creative for the first time.

2025
Our Formula E archive reached 375,000 images. This is the largest independent collection of Formula E imagery in the world. It stretches from the launch of the sport's Donington Park facility in 2014 and includes every single collective preseason test and all 146 races over all 11 seasons.
